**JAZZ IT UP WITH JOE!**
Big Band Jazz Camp – two weeks with the fabulous Joe Ingram! 
For students entering 7th-12th grade

Joe Ingram, Jazz Instructor extraordinaire, will be back to lead this great camp in 2016! This class is dedicated to having some musical fun and gaining some extra musical experience during the summer. All traditional big band styles will be explored including swing, Latin, rock, and pop. Camp is for students entering grades 7-12 in fall with one or more years experience. Joe Ingram has taught music for 35 years, the majority of them as band director at Shasta Middle School. In 1993, he was awarded the Presidential Scholars Distinguished Teachers Award in a ceremony at the White House, and in 2005 he was selected as one of six Oregon Middle School Teachers of the Year. Chamber String Academy Camp – with Dale Bradley
For strings students with 2-3 years experience entering 7th-9th grade
August 21-25 (M-F), 9:00am-noon SEHS Band Room, $150

This new camp is for those strings players who have had a few years of experience and are ready for some chamber ensemble work. Depending on the number of participants, players will learn and perform in a variety of ensemble configurations. It’s perfect for those who have completed SA2 or are currently in Little Symphony – or any strings player who is currently of middle school age. Also great for strings players who have had two or three years of experience either in orchestra or with private lessons. Dale Bradley is a master at arranging music to suit the players’ needs – giving them challenge while making it a fun and rewarding musical experience!
